Matt Moorehead, CPA
As a life-long resident of Chapel Hill, Matt has deep roots in the community. In addition to living in Chapel Hill, the majority of Matt’s professional career has been spent serving the area as a community banker. Outside of banking, Matt spent two years working at a public accounting firm in Nashville.
Matt Moorehead, CPA, PLLC was founded in 2018, and with the addition of Jon Cheek, CPA as a firm partner in August 2022, Moorehead Cheek, PLLC has continued the mission of providing exceptional tax and accounting services to individuals and businesses in Chapel Hill and the surrounding communities.
Beginning in January 2023, Moorehead Cheek, PLLC is offering TaxCaddy as the client portal for individual taxpayers. TaxCaddy allows clients to securely exchange documents and communicate with our tax professionals and offers an app that allows clients to take pictures of tax documents and upload to the portal from their mobile devices. TaxCaddy also allows for linking of accounts with third parties to automatically retrieve certain tax documents such as W-2s, 1099s, and 1098s. Upon completion of your tax return, a permanent copy will be made available to you on your TaxCaddy portal.
